Police seized vehicles, JCB in Awantipora for illegal extraction of minerals
Srinagar: Police in Awantipora seized six tippers and a JCB used in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, a police party seized 6 tippers bearing registration numbers JK04B-0511, JK16-4199, JK13A-5299, JK01P-3017, JKOIL-9127, JK13B-7470 and 01 JCB without number plate.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Pampore and further investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
