Police arrests drug peddler in Budgam
Srinagar: Police in Budgam arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Monday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint near Higher Secondary School Zohama, intercepted a suspicious person identified as Sajad Muzaffar Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Surasyar Chadoora.
During search, Charas sticks weighing about 270 grams was recovered from his possession. Subsequently, he was arrested and a case vide FIR No.72/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chadoora and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
