KU condoles demise of students in Handwara road accident
Srinagar: The University of Kashmir (KU) expressed profound grief over the tragic death of two students from Government Degree College (GDC) Sogam, an affiliated college of the varsity, in a road accident that took place at Vodhpora, Handwara earlier Saturday.
In a condolence message, Vice-Chancellor KU, Prof. Nilofer Khan conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and the college community.
“We are deeply saddened by the untimely demise of these young students. It is an irreparable loss and our thoughts and prayers are with their families in this difficult time,” she said.
Registrar KU, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, also expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident and extended condolences to the bereaved families on behalf of the university administration.
The University of Kashmir stands in solidarity with the GDC Sogam fraternity and the families of the deceased, and prays for strength and courage to bear this immense loss.
