GDC Kilhotran Unveils ‘Campus Tides’ Magazine

Bhalessa: The English Department of Government Degree College Kilhotran has unveiled its new quarterly print and online magazine, Campus Tides, marking a significant step in promoting student creativity and artistic expression.
The magazine was launched under the mentorship of Prof. (Dr.) Javed Iqbal Zargar, the college’s principal, who praised the initiative as a powerful platform for students to showcase their talents.
During the event, Dr. Javed Iqbal expressed his admiration for the efforts of Dr. Waqar Yonus Butt, Head of the English Department, who spearheaded the project. He highlighted the importance of such platforms in nurturing the creative potential of students, noting that Campus Tides would serve as a bridge for the region’s aspiring writers, artists, and performers to share their work with a wider audience.
The event, which drew attention from both faculty and students, was attended by Dr. Reyaz Ahmed, Dr. Mohammad Aslam Rather, Dr. Tasir Sharief Per, Dr. Imtiaz, Prof. Zain Batt, Prof. Vickey Rattan, Prof. Zakir Ali Ganaie, Dr. Mudassar Nazar and other distinguished faculty members, who applauded the initiative.
Dr. Waqar emphasized the magazine’s role in encouraging students to think beyond traditional academic boundaries and explore their creative potential in writing, art, and other artistic forms. The quarterly publication is designed to be both a print and online magazine.
