Baramulla making remarkable strides in financial inclusion
Baramulla: Baramulla is making remarkable strides in financial inclusion, skill development and digital empowerment under the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP). Recognized for its outstanding progress, the district has been awarded ₹3 crore to further accelerate its transformation journey, officials said Wednesday.
They said that the key interventions have been increased registrations under PMJJBY & PMSBY (Insurance Schemes) with targeted awareness campaigns.
They said that under skill development expanded training programs empowering women & persons with disabilities have been held.
In digital literacy, the district has witnessed organisation of camps to equip citizens, especially in remote areas, with essential digital skills.
They said that a robust on-ground monitoring was held and regular inspections were conducted to ensure impactful implementation.
These initiatives are fostering economic empowerment, financial security and digital access, ensuring a brighter future for Baramulla’s communities.
