North Kashmir encounter: One unidentified terrorist killed, operation underway
Srinagar, Mar 17: An unidentified terrorist has been killed while as one AK-47 rifle and other arms and ammunition has been recovered in an ongoing gunfight at Zachaldar area of Handwara on Monday, an official said.
A senior police officer while confirming that one terrorist has been killed, whose identity is yet to be ascertained said that from his possession one AK-47 rifle and other arms and ammunition has been also recovered.
Earlier, a joint team of Police and the army launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
As the joint team of forces zeroed towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired on the joint team, which was retaliated triggering off a gunfight.(GNS)
