Police seizes 800 litres of illicit Kerosene in Kulgam, three held
Srinagar: Police in Kulgam recovered illicit kerosene and arrested three accused persons involved in the commission of crime, a police spokesman said Saturday.
He said that acting on specific information about selling of kerosene oil in black market at Arreh and Shalipora, Kulgam, police parties along with Executive Magistrate conducted search in the said villages and recovered 500 and 300 Litres of Illicit Kerosene from the possession of Tariq Ahmad Dar son of Bashir Ahmad Dar resident of Shalipora, Ishfaq Ahmad Wani son of Ali Mohammad Wani resident of Arreh and Mohammad Lateef Khan resident of Sungai Danmar, Srinagar. The accused person involved in the crime have been arrested.
Accordingly, cases vide FIR No. 12 & 21/2025 under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Kulgam and investigation is in progress.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were selling the Kerosene oil illegally in black market, the spokesman added.
