Police arrests drug peddler in Kulgam
Srinagar: Police in Kulgam arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that a police team at a checkpoint established at Damidola crossing intercepted a suspicious person carrying a bag. During search, 10.47 kilogram of Poppy Straw like contraband substance concealed in the said bag was recovered from his possession.
He has been identified Mohammad Syed Parray son of Mohammad Abdullah Parray resident of Humshalibugh. The accused has been arrested and accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 15/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Yaripora and investigation has been initiated.
