Police arrests absconder in Sopore
Srinagar: Police in Sopore arrested an absconder who was evading arrest since 2012, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that police arrested an absconder, identified as Nayeem Ahmad War son of Nazir Ahmad War resident of Warpora Sopore, who had been evading arrest for over 12 years. He was wanted in connection with a case FIR No. 190 filed in 2012 under sections 454 and 380 of the RPC at Police Station Sopore. A warrant of arrest had been issued by the Court against him.
He has been produced before the court and has been lodged in judicial custody until February 25, 2025. This arrest demonstrates the police’s commitment to apprehending individuals who have outstanding warrants and holding them accountable for their actions.
