Srinagar: As a part of its ongoing effort to curb the rising instances of fraud and to prevent misuse of mobile phone SIMs, Police in Pulwama and Handwara launched a verification drive on SIM card vendors across the districts, a police spokesman said Monday.
He said that the drive aims to verify the authenticity of documents submitted by subscribers and to ensure that SIM vendors are adhering to the guidelines set by the government and to ensure that their SIM connections are verified.
