Police arrests two drug peddlers in South Kashmir
Srinagar: Police arrested two drug peddlers in South Kashmir’s Pulwama and Shopian districts, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
He said that police arrested a drug peddler at a checkpoint established at Parigam, identified as Mohammad Amin Bhat son of Mohammad Akbar Bhat resident of Wanpora and recovered 3.5 Kgs of Charas Powder-like substance from his possession.
Meanwhile in Shopian, a police party established a checkpoint at Wachi intercepted a drug peddler identified as Aabid Ahmad Bhat Son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat resident of Ganiepora Wachi. During search, 4.300 Kgs of grinded Cannabis & 672 grams of Charas Powder were recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in respective police stations and investigations have been initiated, the spokesman added.
