Police detains notorious criminal under PSA
Srinagar: Police in Sopore detained a notorious criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA) after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that the notorious criminal identified as Rafiq Ahmad Khan, son of Mutawali Khan, a resident of Khudwani Ladu Ladoora Rafiabad, was detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA) after receiving a formal detention order from the competent authority. He has been taken into custody and is now held at District Jail Udhampur.
Pertinently, many criminal cases are registered against Rafiq Ahmad Khan, yet he continued to engage in illegal activities. The general public of Sopore has commended the police for their decisive action, the spokesman added.
