Police arrests three drug peddlers in Pulwama

Srinagar: Police arrested three drug peddlers in Pulwama and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesman said Monday.
He said that acting on a specific information about concealing of narcotic substance at the residential houses of two drug peddlers at Kisrigam Kakapora, a police party raided both the residential houses and recovered 10.7 Kgs of grinded Charras Powder from the residential house of Bilal Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Nabi Dar and 7.8 Kgs of grinded Charras Powder from the residential house of Irshad Ahmad Mantoo son of Ghulam Nabi Mantoo.
Similarly in another action, a police party of PS Litter during naka checking at Litter near Petrol Pump intercepted a suspicious person. During checking, 200 grams of Charas like substance from his possession. He has been identified as Mehraj-u-din Shah son of Gulam Hassan Shah resident of Chari Sharief Budgam.
All the accused have been arrested and shifted to respective police stations.  Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations and further investigation has been initiated.
