KV Impact: Authorities install 250 KVA transformer at Panjpora Bijbehara
Locals now receiving scheduled power supply
Anantnag: The power development department has installed a 250 KVA transformer in Panjpora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The residents of Panjpora were facing problems as the 100 KVA transformer installed in the area was developing snags frequently.
The issue was highlighted by ‘Kashmir Vision’ and their issue was taken up with concerned authorities for upgradation of 100 KVA transformer to 250 KVA.
Around a week after ‘Kashmir Vision’ took up the issue with authorities; a 250 KVA transformer has been installed and commissioned at the Panjpora.
Locals said the old transformer was developing technical snags frequently and they were without power for December month.
Tariq Ahmad, a local said that there are around 60 households that were relying on 100 KVA transformer but it was developing snags frequently due to which locals were suffering.
He said that now 250 KVA transformer has been installed in the village and now they are receiving scheduled supply.
He said that students and patients were most sufferers and now they too have heaved a sigh of relief.
The locals said that after media especially ‘Kashmir Vision’ highlighted the issue, authorities upgraded the transformer and locals have heaved a sigh of relief.
They thanked the news organisation for highlighting the issue and officials of PDD department for installing 250 KVA transformer in the area.
