SKIMS Bemina accords warm send-off to (Dr) Mohammed Mubarik Naqash
Srinagar: A farewell ceremony was held by the Department of General Medicine & Chest Medicine to honour Professor (Dr) Mohammed Mubarik Naqash, the outgoing Head of Department (HOD) of General Medicine at SKIMS Medical College, Bemina, Srinagar. Dr. Naqash is superannuating on Tuesday.
Professor (Dr) Mohammed Mubarik Naqash has had a distinguished career spanning 37 years, with 18 years and 4 months of service as HOD General Medicine. During his tenure, he has made significant contributions to the field of general medicine, including establishing Endoscopy, Colonoscopy & Echocardiography labs. He was post graduate guide to 16 postgraduate students for their MD (General Medicine) degrees, a statement issued by the SKIMS Medical College, Bemina said Monday.
The farewell ceremony was attended by Professor Javed Malik HOD Chest Medicine, Dr Tariq Bhat Associate Professor General Medicine, Dr Muzafar Naik Associate Professor General Medicine, Dr Manzoor Ahmad Teli Assistant Professor General Medicine, Dr Abdul Ahad Assistant Professor General Medicine, Dr Mir Elias Assistant Professor Chest Medicine, Senior Residents of Gen Medicine & Chest Medicine, Post graduate students of General Medicine, Mrs Sabiya Nursing Supervisor General Medicine, Mrs Najeeba Ward Incharge General Medicine, Mr Yaqoob ECG Supervisor list dignitaries, Nursing staff of Gene & Chest Medicine, ECG Staff, Endoscopy Staff and other staff members of the department, the statement said.
The programme included appreciation of the contribution and services of Professor Mubarik Naqash by Faculty members, Senior Residents, Post graduate students, Nursing and ECG departments and it was followed by a felicitation ceremony, where Professor Mubarik Naqash was honored for their dedication and service to the institution.
“Professor Mubarik Naqash has been an exceptional leader and mentor, and his contributions to the department and the institution as a whole have been invaluable,” said Professor Javed Malik.
“We will miss his guidance and wisdom, but we are grateful for the legacy he is leaving behind.” said Dr Tariq Bhat.
Professor Mubarik Naqash engraves our heart with passion of punctuality, ardour for work and zeal for simplicity was quoted by Dr Muzafar Naik.
Professor Mubarik Naqash expressed his deepest gratitude to each and every one who participate in the farewell ceremony, the statement concluded.
