Bangedar Tral residents demand construction of a bridge over Nallah
Pulwama: The residents of Bangedar village in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have demanded construction of a bridge over a nallah passing through the area.
The residents of the area said that they have been facing problems in absence of a bridge in the area.
Shakeel Ahmad, a local resident said that the bridge connects hundreds of households and in the absence of bridge Bangedar remains disconnected with the rest of the district.
He said that people of Bangedar have to take long routes when water level in the Nallah increases.
Nazir Ahmad, another resident said that people of the area suffer in the absence of proper connectivity.
He said locals have to carry patients on their shoulders in absence of connectivity that needs to be redressed.
Saleema, a local woman said that during elections everyone came here for campaigning and assured us of taking up this issue on priority.
“But once the elections were over nobody has bothered to pay a visit to the palce and fulfil their promise,” she added.
She said that government has constructed bridges in very far flung areas but due to unknown reasons their area is being neglected.
Locals said that they have brought the issue into the notice of concerned authorities several times but to no avail.
They have sought the attention of Chief Minister and MLA Tral in this regard.
