Two women terror associates detained under PSA in Udhampur
Srinagar, Dec 3: Police detained two women terror associates under PSA in Udhampur, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that police has detained two female terror associates (OGWs) under the Public Safety Act (PSA). The do has been identified as Maryama Begum wife of Mohammad Shafeeq of Loudhara, Basantgarh and Arshad Begum wife of Late Jamal Din of Rai Chak, Basantgarh.
“Both were assessed to be posing a significant threat to the safety and security of the state,” the spokesman said.
These terror associates were found to be involved in providing logistics support to terrorist groups and working as guide/faclitator for terrorist organisations. Their continuous actions posed a serious risk to public safety and tranquillity, the spokesman added.
To prevent further criminal activities detrimental to the security of the state and keeping in view their activities both were ordered to be detained under PSA, the spokesman said.
