Terrorist associate held with arms, ammunition in north Kashmir’s Handwara
Srinagar: Security forces on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a terrorist associate in Handwara along with arms and ammunition.
A police spokesperson said that during a cordon and search operation in Bongam Chogul area of Handwara, security forces apprehended a terrorist associate identified as Ashiq Hussain Wani of Sopore.
The statement reads that a pistol along with a magazine and seven live rounds were also recovered from his possession.
“A case FIR No. 200/2024 under relevant sections has been registered in police station Handwara and investigation is underway,” he said.
