Idarie Teqeeq o Adab JK Honored with Prestigious ‘Sharf e Kamraz’ Award

Srinagar: In recognition of its unparalleled efforts in promoting and preserving the Kashmiri language, research, and literature, Idaare Teqeeq o Adab JK was honored with the distinguished “Sharf e Kamraz” award by Adbi Markaz Kamraz.
The accolade was presented during the 44th Annual Kashir Conference, a premier literary and cultural event held at the University of Kashmir’s North Campus in Delina.
The award ceremony witnessed a memorable moment as the patron of Idaare Teqeeq o Adab JK, Farooq Shaheen, received this prestigious honor on behalf of the forum. The citation celebrating the forum’s remarkable contributions was read by Javid Mawri, who eloquently highlighted their steadfast dedication to promoting the mother tongue, Kashmiri, and nurturing a rich literary culture in the region.
Farooq Shaheen was joined on stage by the dedicated members of the forum all of whom have played significant roles in the forum’s initiatives and achievements.
The two-day conference, held from November 2-3, was a gathering of prominent voices from diverse fields including literature, politics, law, scholarship, and the arts. The event served as a vibrant platform for intellectual engagement, with renowned writers, artists, scholars, advocates, and influencers discussing and debating crucial topics related to the preservation and promotion of regional art, culture, and languages.
