Gulshanpora Tral residents demand fencing around boys middle school

Pulwama: The residents of Gulshanpora area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have demanded fencing around boys middle school Gulshanpora.
The residents of the Gulshanpora area said that school is located outside the populated area and is close to the forst area.
“There is a dire need to put fencing around the school premises so that children can feel safe,” the locals said.
Gulzar Ahmad Banday a local resident said that in a recent  incident a minor girl was attacked and killed by a leopard due to which there is more fear among the children and parents alike.
He said that school needs immediate fencing so that students studying in the school can play and roam freely.
Shakoor Ahmad, another local resident said that local teachers have to accompany their students while going to school and returning back due to the fear of wild animals.
He said that if a student will be attacked by a wild animal, school education department will be responsible for the same.
The locals said that they have brought the issue in notice of concerned authorities several times but to no avail.
They have sought attention of MLA Concerned and Director School education department in this regard.
