Police arrests drug peddler in Sopore
Srinagar: Police in north Kashmir’s Sopore arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Saturday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Seelo, apprehended a suspected person identified as Umar Farooq Sheikh son of Farooq Ahmad Sheikh resident of Seelo Sopore. During search, 3.5 Kgs of Charas Powder was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 232 of 2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
