Shopian residents demand parking arrangements in new hospital premises basement
Shopian: The residents of south Kashmir’s Shopian district have demanded parking arrangements for Shopian’s newly hospital premises basement.
The residents of Shopian district said that there is an immediate need for parking arrangements for Shopian’s newly constructed hospital.
They said this facility is must to reduce traffic congestion and facilitate efficient hospital operations.
Mohammad Yaqoob Gatoo, a social activist and vice president civil society Shopian said that he has written to Deputy Commissioner Shopian in this regard recently.
“I have sought the intervention regarding parking arrangements for Shopian’s newly constructed hospital, which urgently requires a designated parking area to ensure smooth patient flow, reduce congestion, enhance accessibility and improve safety,” he said.
He added that allocating the basement for parking would provide convenience for patients and visitors, reduce traffic congestion, and facilitate efficient hospital operations, ultimately enhancing the patient experience, reducing parking-related issues, and boosting hospital staff productivity.
He further added that he is sure that Deputy Commissioner Shopian will take action on the issue very soon and locals won’t have to wait for a long time.
Notably, many locals also said that authorities must take cognizance of the issue immediately so that people don’t suffer de to non-availability of parking space.
