Police arrests two notorious drug peddlers in Sopore
Srinagar: Police on Monday arrested two notorious drug peddlers in Sopore and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesman said.
He said that at a checkpoint established at Sofi Akbar Road Chankhan, police intercepted and apprehended two persons identified as Muzafar Ahmad Marazi @Muzz Marazi (notorious drug peddler) son of Mohammad Akbar Marazi resident of Sofi Hamam Sopore and Ishfaq Ahmad Lone son of Abdul Majeed Lone resident of Wangam Bandipora. During search, 5 grams of contraband Heroin like substance was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station Tarzoo where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo and investigation has been initiated. It’s pertinent to mention here that Muzafar Ahmad Marazi is involved in many cases of NDPS Act at different police stations, the spokesman added.
