Police arrests two drug peddlers in Sopore
Srinagar: Police in Sopore arrested two drug peddlers and recovered psychotropic substance from their possession, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that a police party during patrolling at Nowpora Byepass Road apprehended two persons in a suspicious condition. During search, officers were able to recover 540 banned tablets (Alprazolam) from their possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 223/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
