Police arrests two drug peddlers in Kupwara
Srinagar: Police in Kupwara arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established in their jurisdiction, intercepted two individuals coming from Diver towards Lalpora. The have been identified as Bashir Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Hassan Sheikh resident of Batpora Magam Handwara and Tahir Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh resident of Tujer Sharief Sopore. During search, 60 grams of charas was recovered from their possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 67/2024 has been registered at Police Station Lalpora and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
