Awareness programme under SVEEP initiative held at HS Kehnusa Bandipora
BANDIPORA: SVEEP cell Bandipora on Thursday organised an awareness programme at High School Kehnusa here under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative.
The programme was aimed to increase voter turnout in the upcoming assembly elections and encourage greater participation of voters across various areas.
The event witnessed active participation from Booth Level Awareness Groups (BAGS), Aanganwari workers, AASHA workers, and several allied departments.
The programme presided over by Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Kishore Kumar was also attended by Nodal Officer Manpower and Trainings, Dr. G.M. Pujoo; SVEEP Nodal Officer 15- Bandipora AC , Ab Rashid Lone and SVEEP Coordinator, Arsullah Habib.
During his address, CEO emphasized on the critical role that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and other allied departments play in motivating voters and ensuring maximum voter participation. He urged all stakeholders to put their best efforts into encouraging eligible citizens to vote.
Nodal Officer Manpower and Trainings, called on village-level committees to actively engage in spreading voter awareness within their communities, stressing the importance of grassroot efforts in driving electoral participation.
SVEEP Nodal Officer 15- Bandipora AC also addressed the gathering, reiterating the need for coordinated efforts between different departments to achieve the goal of higher voter turnout in the assembly elections.
SVEEP Coordinator, Arsullah Habib, concluded the session, emphasizing on the importance of democracy and the role of an informed electorate in upholding democratic values. He encouraged all participants to strengthen efforts towards voter education and participation.
