Govt BHS Anderwan Celebrates National Teacher’s Day

Srinagar: National teacher’s day was celebrated at BHS Anderwan on Thursday with full enthusiasm and passion.

Amidst the vibrant colours and zest, students had prepared for the event couple of days earlier. Classrooms were well decorated, paths were cleaned and surroundings were cleared of all the filthy trashes, the school said in a statement issed here.

Soon after the morning prayers, under an open sky in the shady atmosphere of the school campus, students began the proceedings of the event. The function began with the recitation of some verses of the glorious Quran followed by naat shareef by Rafakat Ahmad of class 8th.

Girl students of class 7th sang the welcome song in their unique melodious and soulful voice. A poem depicting the importance and stature of the teachers was sung by the girl students of class 10th. Some of the students who spoke on the occasion include Imran Ahmad, Bilal Ahmad, Liyakat Ahmad. Some teachers like Bashir Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad wani, Rayees Ahmad Kumar, Mohammad Ayaz Mir, Altaf Hussain Zargar and Headmaster Mohd Shafi Dar also highlighted the contribution of teachers in shaping the destiny of the nation’s.

In one voice it was unequivocally declared that the destiny of the nation’s is shaped in classrooms and teachers are the real architects of the society. The whole program was moderated by two young, energetic and enthusiastic students Bisma Jan of class 8th and Rifat of class 10th.
