Police arrests notorious bootlegger in Sopore
Srinagar: Police in Sopore arrested a notorious bootlegger and recovered illicit liquor from his possession, a police spokesman said Monday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Degree College Crossing, intercepted a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK04B-9591 driven by Farooq Ahmad Ganie @Farooq Jandgur son of Ghulam Nabi Ganie resident of Sangrampora Sopore A/P Bunpora Langate Handwara. During search, 32 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore a investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
