Party gets a big boost ahead of elections

Kupwara: National Conference (NC) on Saturday got a big boost in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district as an influential Gujjar leader Chaudry Siraj-U–Din, who is a former member State Advisory Board for Gujjars and Bakerwals, joined the party.

Chaudry Siraj—Din, who wields great influence among his community members joined the party at Kupwara today in presence of NC Provincial President, Nasir Aslam Wani.

Welcoming Chaudry Siraj—Din in the party fold, Nasir Aslam Wani said that his joining has strengthened the party at the ground level as the Gujjar leader has contributed a lot towards the welfare and betterment of his community.

“He is connected to the grass root level and his vision and direction will go a long way in shaping a better and fruitful policy for the development of the tribal community members in the entire region,” Nasir said.

“The party workers and the tribal community members are jubilant over his joining the party as it will help us to establish a better connection with the tribal community and understand their developmental needs,” Nasir added.

Addressing the gathering Chaudry Siraj-U-Din said that he has all long been influenced by the ideology of the National Conference as the party has always stood besides the tribal community.

“It is a proud moment for me to be associated with the party as I can contribute for the welfare and betterment of my community in a much organized manner,” he said.

“NC’s forward looking policies and concern for the underprivileged compelled me to join the party and help it achieve ihs mission for making Jammu and Kashmir a developed region where everyone gets an equal chance to thrive and surge ahead,” he added.
