Chief Education Officer Ganderbal visits flood hit school in Kangan

Ganderbal: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Ganderbal, S. K. Sharma visited the flood hit Government Middle School Kangan to assess the situation and ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.*

The CEO was accompanied by the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Kangan, HQ Assistant Rafiq Ahmad, and the Cluster Head.

During the visit, the CEO engaged in a thorough discussion with the Head of the Institution (HOI) to gather detailed information about the current condition of the school. The conversation covered the impact of the flash flood on the school’s infrastructure, the safety of students and staff, and the status of ongoing classwork.

The CEO inspected the school premises, with a particular focus on the safe building block where classes are being conducted. The CEO expressed satisfaction with the measures taken to ensure the safety and continuity of education despite the challenges posed by the natural disaster.

The CEO also reiterated a strong commitment to supporting the school in overcoming the difficulties caused by the flood, ensuring that students’ education remains uninterrupted. The visit underscored the dedication of the education department to maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment for all students in the District.
