I-Day Celebrations held at St. Joseph’s Hr Sec School Baramulla

Baramulla: St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Baramulla marked the 78th Independence Day with a vibrant and memorable celebration held in two phases for the junior and senior students on Wednesday.

The school campus was beautifully decorated and adorned with the tricolour as the students, faculty and the management gathered to commemorate the nation’s freedom. The Chief Guest for the occasion was the SHO Baramulla, Vilayat Sofi, a statement issued by the school said.

The festivities began with the Parade led by the parade commander Prabvir Singh. The marching contingent was greeted with resounding cheers and patriotic fervor from the attendees.

ilayat Sofi, was given a formal welcome by the Principal and was presented with a beautiful bouquet. Following this, students presented a series of cultural performances, including patriotic action songs commemorating the bravery and sacrifice of the defence forces, colourful dances, patriotic skits, an insight into the lives of the freedom fighters, and musical renditions based on the importance of cleanliness and the conservation of our resources for nation building, all underscoring the theme of national unity and patriotism.

In his address, the Chief Guest highlighted the significance of Independence Day, reflecting on India’s journey to freedom and the importance of upholding democratic values. He emphasized the role of education in shaping a brighter future and expressed his profound appreciation of the colourful display of talent.
