Woman dies in house collapse as heavy rain lashes large parts of Jammu
JAMMU, Aug 7 (PTI): A 60-year-old woman died in a house collapse and several structures were washed away as heavy rain lashed large parts of the Jammu region, throwing life out of gear on Wednesday, officials said.
Kako Devi was buried alive along with her two cows when her mud-house collapsed due to heavy rain in the Gundha village of Khawas in Rajouri district in the early hours, they said.
Devi’s body was recovered from under the debris by rescuers, they added.
