Court convicts drug peddler under NDPS Act
Baramulla: In a significant victory to the efforts of Police in combating drug abuse, the Court of Additional Sessions Judge Baramulla has convicted an accused under NDPS Act, a police spokesman said Saturday.
The accused person identified as Ghulam Mohammad Bhat son of Ghlam Mohi Uddin Bhat resident of Khamdanderpora Tangmarg was involved in case FIR No. 95/2023 under section 8/20 NDPS Act of Police Station Tangmarg. The accused was found guilty and sentenced to undergo imprisonment, in addition to a fine, the spokesman added.
This conviction is a testament to the unwavering commitment of Police to eradicate drug menace and ensure a safer society, he said.
