Seven years on, Tourism cafeteria at Tral awaits completion

Pulwama: Even after a lapse of around seven years, a tourism cafeteria in Tral town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district is awaiting completion.

Locals said that despite the tall claims of government that they are spending huge amount of money on tourism sector, it has failed in completing the tourist cafeteria building in Tral.

Abdul Salam, a local resident said that the construction work on the cafeteria in lawn of Ziyarat Shareef Ameer-e-Kabeer Mir Sayed Ali Hamadani (RA) was started in 2017 but it has been left incomplete.

He said that that if the government has already spend a good amount of money on the construction of the cafeteria why has it been left incomplete.

Shabir Ahmad, another local said that if authorities weren’t in position to complete the project then they shouldn’t have taken the land of the Ziyarat.

The locals said that they have brought the issue into the notice of concerned authorities several times but to no avail.

They have now sought the intervention of Director Tourism in this regard.

Meanwhile, an official in the district administration said that higher ups were already informed to complete the building as it just need some finishing touch.

He said that they will take every possible step to complete the building at an earliest.
