Human Trafficking case: Two more accused persons held, three minor girls rescued

Srinagar: Police rescued three more minor girls and arrested two persons involved in a Human Trafficking case in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, a police spokesman said Monday.

He said that case pertains to an FIR No. 173/2024 lodged at police station Baramulla.

“During the course of investigation of case FIR No. 173/2024 of PS Baramulla, it surfaced that two more persons identified as Ghulam Mohammad Khan son of Abdl Rehman resident of Narbal and Manzoor Ahmad Shah son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Janbazpora, were also involved in the trafficking and exploitation of minor girls from outside the UT,” the spokesman added.

Subsequently, a police party arrested both the accused persons and were shifted to Police Station Baramulla, besides, recovered three minor victim girls of Rohingya, Burma, the spokesman added.

Pertinently, two accused persons from Baramulla were arrested and four minor girls were rescued during the initial investigation of the case.
