Tulbagh Pampore residents demand macadamization of link roads

Pulwama: The residents of Tulbagh area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have demanded macadamization of link roads in the area.

The residents said that the main roads are lying in dilapidated conditions due to which they are suffering.

They said that if roads of the town need to be prioritised and macadamized on time so that people won’t suffer anymore.

Ghulam Qadir, a local resident said that the roads leading to the colony are in terrible conditions and need urgent repairs.

He alleged that the area has been neglected by almost all departments and many works need to be done for the development of the entire area.

Ashiq Hussian, another local resident said that there are faulty drains in the area that damage the roads as well.

He said that there is a need to repair the faulty drainage system first and then roads so that drain water won’t choke the roads.

The locals claimed that they have brought the issue into the notice of concerned authorities several times but to no avail.

They requested Deputy Commissioner Pulwama along with R&B officials to look into it and take immediate steps in this regard.
