Government school building gutted in fire mishap at Sopore
Sopore: A government school building was gutted during a fire mishap in Gousia Colony Noor Bagh Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said on Wednesday.
An official said that the fire ravaged the government building at Baba Yousuf at Gousia Colony Noor Bagh Sopore causing extensive damage to the single storey building.
Fortunately, official records housed within the building were saved by the timely action of fire tenders and local Police, the official said.
Meanwhile, police took cognizance of the fire incident and said that the cause of the fire remains unknown, although firefighters with the help of police managed to bring the blaze under control.
