Police arrests drug peddler in Sopore
Srinagar: Police in Sopore arrested a drug peddler and recovered Psychotropic substances from his possession, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Pethseer crossing, intercepted a suspicious person carrying a bag. During search, Police party was able to recover 12 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from the bag. He has been identified as Nazir Ahmad Yatoo son of Ghulam Rasool Yatoo resident of Sangrama Sopore. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 61/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo & further investigation has been initiated.
