As students spend most of their time in schools, they forge a special bond with their classmates and teachers. It is natural for teachers to show affection and concern towards their students and it is also not uncommon for students to be concerned for their teachers.

School is the second home for students and they must treat everyone with love and respect, especially their teachers. Teachers feel proud and are ecstatic when they see their students do well in their academics along with extracurricular activities. A teacher’s sole aim is to make their students accomplished and prepared to face life.

The greatest desire of every teacher is to see their students win and excel in their lives. All teachers wish to see their students thrive and succeed in whatever vocation they choose.

It is, therefore, the moral duties of the students to treat their teachers with respect and express consideration towards them. Students can express their consideration for their teachers by the following ways.

By behaving respectfully to their teachers

Students need to understand that they must respect their teachers from the bottom of their hearts and not feign obsequious behavior and formalities. Students must acknowledge the efforts carried by their teachers to teach them. They need to respect the sacrifices made by their teachers for them and they also need to applaud the intentions and expectations their teachers have for them.

By obeying teachers’ instructions, taking notes and asking doubts

Students can show their consideration for their teachers by obeying their instructions in the class. Students must do what they are expected to do without fail. They must behave properly inside the class and take notes and ask questions inside the class. They must refrain from talking with their classmates for whatever reasons.

By remaining attentive in the class

The next thing students can do to express their consideration for their teachers by remaining attentive in the class. Students may sometimes find the class to be boring and long-drawn-out and they may be tempted to day-dream, zone out, or simply doodle on their note pad.

These may seem innocuous; however, these fall under bad behaviors. The class is not a picnic for the teachers either, still, they spend their time by teaching their lessons to students by standing the entire duration of the class, and they do this day-in-day-out for the entire academic year. Students can at least show the courtesy by remaining attentive and participating in the class.

By preparing their lessons well

When students prepare their lessons well, they make their teachers proud. Teachers are glad that the lessons taught to the students are well received, understood, and remembered for practical applications. When students prepare their lessons well, they not only equip themselves for their future but also delight their teachers. Teachers are also happy when they see that all or most of their students score high grades in their tests as it proves that they have taught their lessons well.

By completing the assignments on time

Students also express their consideration for their teachers by completing their assignments meticulously and within the deadline. An incomplete assignment always worries teachers and they feel concerned for those students who are unable to submit their assignments on time. Completing assignments on time will spare the worries for teachers and will create a favorable impression on teachers.

By maintaining discipline outside the class

Students can also express their consideration by maintaining discipline outside the class and displaying immaculate behaviors. A student’s behavior shows his teacher in a positive light and creates a favorable image.
