Principal Secretary JKPDCL visits Ganderbal
Srinagar: Principal Secretary JKPDCL, Rajesh Prasad visited district Ganderbal and attended a public darbar held at Mammar Kangan as the chief guest.
The programme was held under the aegis and guidance of the District Development Commissioner Ganderbal Shyambir. All the field departments had installed stalls showcasing the schemes and initiatives of their respective departments.
A similar stall was installed by the department of education Ganderbal . Zonal Education Officer Hariganwan supervised the process to ensure proper installation and display at the stall.
Many schemes and initiatives of the department were put on display at the stall. Zonal education officer Hariganwan briefed the esteemed chief guest and other dignitaries about the various schemes and initiatives of the department of education including free Textbooks, Free Uniforms, MDM, Exposure and Education Tours of students, scholarship especially for ST and SC students. Tents and Teaching Learning Material at seasonal centers (Behaks) for nomadic and tribal students.
All the schemes are sponsored by the department of education and Directorate of SAMAGRA Shiksha.
Later the chief guest distributed free textbooks and bags among the recently streamlined out of school students on the occasion. These students had been identified by the department of education and enrolled in schools under the NEP provisions for which many ambitious initiatives like TALAASH etc were initiated by the department.
