Gujjar Saran Tral, a breathtaking site seeks government attention

Pulwama: Gujjar Saran, a breathtaking site in Aripal belt of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district has been craving for attention from authorities, locals alleged Friday.

They said that Gujjar Saran is very beautiful place but needs government attention.

They said that area is as beautiful as Pahalgam but government has failed to give it a connectivity due to which very few people visit the area.

They said that hundreds of youth visit the area on daily basis but they have to go by foot for about two kilometers as the condition of road is very bad as this breathtaking site has no proper road connectivity from Lam village onwards.

They said that Gujjar Saran lush green forest and a canal there which has crystal water is attracting people towards it.

Locals requested the tourism department to develop it as a tourist spot as no effort has been put in place after it was designated as a tourist spot few years back.

They said that developing it as a tourist destination can help locals to earn livelihood.

They said that people of the area are financially weak and if government can bring it on tourism map, it can help in the development of the area as well.

They requested government officials to look into the matter at an earliest.

Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral Sajad Yayha said that the area is being developed as tourist destination as work is expected to start soon.
