Police seizes Excavator, six Tractors involved in illegal mining
Srinagar: Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals at Goigam, Aboora, Kreeri and Shrai Baramulla, Police seized one excavator, 06 tractors, and arrested their drivers, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that police seized 01 Excavator, 06 Tractors and arrested 07 drivers identified as Abdul Lateef Wani son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Aarth Budgam, Asil Ahmad Dar son of Abdl Gani resident of Chichiloora, Mohammad Akbar Kawa son of Abdul Rehman resident of Kawapora Shadipora, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi son of Abdul Gani resident of Chichiloora, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Hanjiwera, Shakir Ahmad Bhat son of Shabir Ahmad resident of Wailoo Kunzer and Mushtaq Ahmad son of Gh Mohammad resident of Poonch.
They were found involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals and accordingly case under relevant sections of law have been registered in respective police stations and investigations have been initiated, the spokesman added.
