Police launches poppy destruction drive in Pulwama
Srinagar: Police in Pulwama in collaboration with the Revenue and Excise Departments, conducted poppy destruction drive in village Bellow. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug cultivation and ensure a drug-free community, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 43/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Rajpora against the accused Ghulam Jeelani Dar son of Mohammad Yousf Dar resident of Bellow Dargund.

Police later destroyed cultivation over a huge patch land spread over a large area at Khankah Midoora areas Awantipora.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered against accused persons at Police Station Awantipora and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
