Police arrest drug peddler in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Janbazpora-Binner Crossing, intercepted a person identified as Farooq Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Suliaman resident of Chisti Colony Baramulla. During search, 18 grams of Heroin like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station Baramulla where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
