Noorpora Awantipora residents demand better civic, other facilities in the area

Pulwama:- The residents of Check Noorpora area in Awantipora hamlet of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have demanded better facilities in the area.

The residents said that they suffer for want of better power, road and water facilities in the area.

They said that internal roads in the area are lying in dilapidated condition due to which daily commuters and school going children are facing huge hardships.

Javid Ahmad, a local resident said that there are no proper drainage facilities available in the area besides that condition of roads in the area is very bad.

He said that the area is facing unscheduled power supply for long time now and in spite of that the monthly tariff is being increased after every few months.

Aamir Ahmad, another local resident said that the area has no proper road connectivity due to which school going children and elderly people also suffer.

They further added that area has no proper drinking water facilities and the residents have to travel for 2 kms to fetch potable water.

The locals claimed that they have brought these issues into the notice of concerned authorities several times but to no avail.

They once again requested higher ups to look into the matter at an earliest so that they can heave a sigh of relief.
