GDC Dooru to start bus service for students on ‘no profit no loss basis’

Anantnag: In a welcome step aimed towards the welfare of students, the Government Degree College Dooru in Anantnag is mulling to start a bus service for students on ‘no profit, no loss’ basis.
‘On the demand of students, the college intends to run bus service for students from Kapran Verinag area to facilitate their easy and timely arrival in the college on ‘No profit no Loss basis’,” reads the notice issued by Principal GDC Dooru.
“In this regard, desirous students are informed to register themselves with Dr. Malik Yasir Ahmad by or before 27-04-2024 and Students will be required to pay fare on daily basis,” it reads further.
Meanwhile, the locals said that Government Degree College Dooru Anantnag Principal and administration deserves appreciation for Introducing bus service on ‘No profit No Loss’ for students who were suffering due to inadequate transport facilities.
They said that this is a welcome step and will certainly help students and make their daily journey easy.
Other colleges in Anantnag and Kashmir as well must wake up and start similar services, they said.
Meanwhile, the students said that this is a welcome step and they were demanding such facilities for a long time now.
Aaqib Ahmad, a student said that students were not reaching college in time due to inadequate transport facilities in the area.
He said that students had to wait for hours to catch a bus or a cab and then reach their college.
Tamana Jan, another student said that their education was getting effected as students were not reaching college on time and they were missing some classes due to delayed arrival.
She said that now students will be able to reach to the college on time and attend all their classes.
Students while thanking Principal of the college requested him to start such services on other routes as well so that other students who have been facing such problems won’t suffer anymore.
