Encounter breaks out in Ranji forest area of Bandipora in north Kashmir
Srinagar, Apr 24: A gunfight broke out between terrorists and security forces in Ranji forest area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora area, police said.
Police in a tweet on ‘X’ said that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Ranji forest.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
A senior police officer also confirmed about the exchange of fire and said that a search operation is under process.
