Illegal extraction of minerals: Police seizes two vehicles, arrests two drivers
Srinagar: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police in Baramulla seized two vehicles and arrested two drivers, a police spokesman said Sunday.
He said that a police party seized two vehicles (tractors) and arrested two drivers at Kreeri Baramulla, involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals. The accused drivers have been identified as Mohammad Ishfaq Waza son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Frasthar and Dawood Ahmad Wani son of Mohammad Ashraf resident of Waripora.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kreeri and further investigation has been initiated, he added.
