DC Ramban oversees AMF for Poll Parties, CAPF
Inspects Strong Room and Control Room in Banihal AC 55
RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary alongwith SSP Anuj Kumar Saturday visited sub division Banihal (AC-55) to review of preparations for the impending General Election Lok Sabha, 2024.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ARO-55 (SDM) Banihal Rizwan Asgar, ASP Gourav Mahajan, Tehsildar Imtiyaz Ahmed, besides other civil and police officers
The DEO inspected Strong Room at Government Higher Secondary School Banihal for AC-55 Banihal, encompassed critical aspects essential for ensuring a smooth and fair electoral process.
Following the inspection of the Strong Room and other facilities, necessary directives were issued to security agencies to guarantee foolproof security measures.
He reviewed the availability of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) for the Poll Parties and CAPF personals during their deployment at Banihal town, enroute to, and at their polling stations.
The DEO also scrutinized the deployment and reception plan of polling staff, alongside the transport plan, issuing essential instructions to concerned officers to streamline these processes.
Speaking to the media, the DEO elaborated on the arrangements being made in the district to conduct the Election, curb MCC violations, and sensitize voters to enhance voter turnout in the election
Later, Deputy Commissioner visited Banihal market to review the traffic management besides discussing the issues of smooth flow of traffic on National highway.
The DC directed the SDM and Traffic Police to regulate the traffic management especially in Banihal town for smooth traffic movement on NH-44.
He also directed the concerned officers to ensure smooth conduct of General Election Lok Sabha 2024.
