SVEEP activities organised across Doda district to spread voter awareness

DODA: Outreach activities under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation program were held Saturday across Doda district to engage with PwD voters.

The SVEEP programme activities aimed at creating awareness and providing support to Persons with Disabilities (PWD) voters for upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

The program was orchestrated under the visionary leadership of the District Election Officer, Harvinder Singh.

The SVEEP programme was attended by Nodal Officers for SVEEP, Master Trainers and others.

The awareness programme briefed participants on the voting process and facilities available for PWD voters, such as wheelchair access, ramps, and special assistance at polling stations.

The aim was to ensure that PWD voters are aware of their rights and have access of necessary support to exercise their vote.

The goal is to ensure that all citizens, including those with disabilities, can easily participate in the democratic process and have their voices heard in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
